American Girl Sighting in my neighborhood in Astoria NY 1st time ever!!

I sighted a American Girl Doll yesterday walking to get pizza, the little girl was about 9 years old. She was carrying Samantha and she was wearing her meet outfit and An American Girl Place sweater. I was so happy I saw another AG Lover. I told the little girl I collect and have four dolls and she was like wow. I told her I had Felicity, Nellie, Samantha, Kaiely. She was so happy. I made her day. I was just in shock that I had actually seen an AG Doll for the 1st time in my neck of my woods in Astoria NY.

Oh, I seen some AGs in Queens!!! last summer, a little girl was carrying Kit at the Bazaar! There are more AGs around the city as AGP is so close, I would assume that there are many girls in NY that have American Girls. [img]biggrin.gif[/img]

Oh, and of course AGP and NYC in general! I remember the day my mom and I were in Penn Station waiting to catch our train home. I saw a girl with a Nellie!

That's so cool! I only see other girls with AG dolls at the AGP'S.

One niece lives in Queens and the other lives in NJ. We (my parents, 3 sisters, 2 brothers,and I) along with our families all chipped in to buy AG dolls for our nieces last Christmas. I understand that having Nellie is a status symbol in the second grade! (We did this in 1992 for my daughter). Once their cousins (from the other side of their family) saw the dolls, they had to have them too! Now they all take their dolls with them where ever they go!
